HOW IN-HOME AGED CARE FUNDING WORKS?
Government-funded in-home aged care is delivered through the Australian Government’s Support at Home program, which began in November 2025 and replaced the former Home Care Packages Program. Support at Home helps older Australians remain living safely and independently at home by funding services including allied health, clinical care, personal care, and everyday support – tailored to each person’s assessed needs.
Once you have a Support at Home budget, you choose the providers who deliver your care. Kinetic Kare works alongside your registered Support at Home provider and care team to bring our services directly to you.
WHO CAN ACCESS AGED CARE SUPPORT?
You may be eligible for government-funded in-home aged care if you are aged 65 or over (or 50 or over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples) and need some support to keep living independently at home. Eligibility is based on your care needs, and access begins with a free assessment through My Aged Care.
To check your eligibility or arrange an assessment, contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or visit myagedcare.gov.au. Our team is also happy to talk you through your options and how our services can fit your plan.
