Can I access more than one allied health service at a time?

Where are your services delivered?
Can I use private health insurance or Medicare?
We specialise in NDIS and aged care funded services, so we don’t currently bill Medicare or private health funds. If you’re not sure which funding applies to you, call us on 02 8580 4540 and we’ll point you in the right direction.
How do I start?
Get in touch with us online or by phone. We’ll ask about your needs, find the best professional to suit you, and book your first at-home appointment.
Will I have the same support worker each time?
We aim to match you with a familiar support worker who gets to know your routines and preferences, so your care feels consistent, comfortable, and respectful of how you like things done.
Can I choose which tasks I’m helped with?
Yes. Your support is guided by you, not a fixed checklist. We take the time to understand which tasks matter most and shape your support around your preferences and daily routine.
What is Support at Home, and what happened to Home Care Packages?
Support at Home is the Australian Government’s in-home aged care program, introduced on 1 November 2025. It replaced the Home Care Packages Program and the Short-Term Restorative Care Programme, bringing in-home aged care together under one program. It’s designed to help older Australians stay living safely and independently at home for longer, with a defined list of services including clinical supports (such as exercise physiology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and podiatry), help with daily living (such as personal care and transport), and everyday tasks (such as cleaning and meal preparation). If you were already receiving a Home Care Package, you were transitioned across to an equivalent level of funding under Support at Home.
Who can access aged care services, and what level of funding will I get?
To access government-funded aged care at home, you first need an aged care assessment, which you can arrange through My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or at myagedcare.gov.au. If you’re approved for ongoing services, you’re assigned one of 8 funding classifications based on your assessed care needs, so people with higher or more complex needs receive more support.
Support at Home also offers three short-term pathways: a Restorative Care Pathway (short-term allied health and nursing to help you regain function), an Assistive Technology and Home Modifications scheme, and an End-of-Life Pathway.
Importantly, clinical supports – including allied health services such as exercise physiology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, and podiatry are fully funded by the Government, with no out-of-pocket cost to you. For other services, such as everyday tasks and some independence supports, you may contribute towards the cost based on your income and assets. Our team is happy to help you understand where our services fit within your plan.
Note From 1 October 2026, personal care will also move to the fully-funded clinical category (no participant contribution) where approved in a support plan. Exact classification funding amounts and contribution rates should be verified against My Aged Care at publication.
What NDIS funding do I need to access your services?
You can use your NDIS funding with Kinetic Kare as long as the supports align with your plan and goals. NDIS plans can be managed in three ways: self-managed (you or your representative pay providers directly), plan-managed (a plan manager pays your providers for you), or NDIA-managed (the NDIA pays your registered providers). As a registered NDIS provider, we can work with participants across all three arrangements.
If you’re not sure what’s in your plan or how it’s managed, get in touch and we’ll help you work out how our allied health and in-home support services can fit.
